ClearCOGS is looking for an Account Executive to join our rapidly growing startup team tackling the issue of food waste. This role involves working with a team of highly motivated, self-sufficient, and passionate employees. The Account Executive will focus on sales prospecting, cultivating leads, and talking to GMs and restaurant owners about ClearCOGS predictive prep product. They will have experience selling restaurant technology, a history of cultivating new business, and love the challenges that come with outbound prospecting. The ClearCOGS team is fully remote and operates in a fast-paced, startup environment where everyday brings new challenges and opportunities.
According to current estimates, restaurants in the U.S. throw out more than 22 billion pounds of food each year. ClearCOGS works with frontline restaurant data to predict optimal daily prep levels to improve efficiency, save money, and prevent waste. Through the combination of modern data management, machine-learning, and statistical tools, our predictive forecasting system can help operators lower their food waste, while also decreasing their risk of stocking out.
Leverage HubSpot CRM to document, monitor, and track sales pipeline and activities (from prospect to close)
Achieve monthly sales quota
Act as the primary point of contact for ClearCOGS customers
Monitor, qualify, and close inbound sales leads (30%)
Self-generates leads by contacting prospective customers by telephone, cold call premise visits, networking, and industry events (70%)
Remain in frequent contact with the customers to understand their needs and ensure they are being met
Develop and test sales strategies and tools
Successfully operate with minimal supervision
BA/BS degree in Business Administration, Marketing, or related.
3+ years of successful direct restaurant technology sales experience in major US market
Proven track record of sales success at or above quota
Must live inside a major US market and possess foundational relationships with a pool of local restaurants
Must be willing and able to travel to different restaurants, bars, and other venues for face-to-face prospecting and meetings as needed, using your own form of transportation
Top-notch (written and verbal) communication, presentation, and negotiation skills
In-depth understanding and insights into restaurant operations and their needs
Proven ability to meet deadlines, multi-task, and prioritize workload
Ability and interest in working in a fast-paced and rapidly-changing environment
Ability to work independently as well as collaborate with team members, and across teams, to integrate perspectives and encourage contributions
Focused on delivering value to your prospects rather than making friends with them
Experience with HubSpot Sales and CRM tools
Interest or understanding of data analytics
Restaurant or startup experience
