ClearCOGS is looking for a Head of Product to join our rapidly growing startup team that is using demand forecasting to improve restaurant operations and prevent food waste. This role involves managing a remote team of 1-3 highly motivated, self-sufficient, and passionate analysis and design employees. The Head of Product will work with the Chief Product Officer and engineering leads to build a multi-year product strategy, set a vision, outline goals, and identify new technology opportunities. The engineering lead will support this role as the manager of the Engineering/Dev team. The ideal candidate will have experience building groundbreaking technology, a history of successful project completion, and love the challenges that come with nurturing a large team to meet their goals and create something new. Responsibilities
Collaborate in the creation of a strategic product roadmap that outlines future development, including feature releases, enhancements, and major milestones
Train, mentor, and motivate a team of passionate designers and analysts to foster a high-performance culture that exceeds company OKRs
Monitor product performance and user feedback to make data-driven decisions that drive product improvements
Prioritize the roadmap based on market opportunities, customer needs, and business goals, ensuring resources are allocated effectively
Coordinate and oversee product launches, working closely with cross-functional teams to ensure successful, impactful launches, and monitor customer feedback to refine the product post-launch
Conduct user research (interviews, surveys, usability testing, etc) to gather deep insights into user needs, pain points, and preferences
Conduct market research to gather customer insights, define product requirements, collaborate with cross-functional teams, and prioritize feature development
Partner with sales and marketing to provide product expertise, training, and support
Encourage creativity within the team, explore new technologies, and market trends to identify opportunities for product innovation, drive experimentation, and champion continuous improvement to stay ahead of market demands and drive business growth
Work closely with the CEO and CPO on department-wide initiatives
Requirements
Bachelor’s degree in computer science, engineering, business, or related field; MBA or advanced degree is a plus.
5+ years of proven experience in product management leadership roles within the restaurant industry or related field
Proficient in AWS systems and tools, as well as data analysis and visualization tools
Proven success in building, scaling, and leading a high-performing product team
Strong leadership, communication, and analytical skills to effectively guide and collaborate across remote teams to influence decision-making and drive innovation
Proven experience leading product teams in an Agile/Scrum environment
Experience managing a product team (remote preferred), setting goals, providing motivation, and leadership
Top-notch (written and verbal) communication, presentation, and negotiation skills
Strong analytical, problem-solving, and coordination skills
Analytical skills to evaluate data and use it to make decisions
Experience working at a startup or early-stage company
Ability and interest in working in a fast-paced and rapidly changing environment
A passion for restaurant technology and a desire to contribute to a mission-driven organization
Bonus skills
Experience with project management in Notion
